Rathfriland
First show of the tour was in Rathfriland at the Bronte Music Club, a beatiful old church where they now hold concerts once a month. It was the parish of Patrick Bronte (yes, Charlotte and Emily Bronte's father) and a life sized replica of him is in the pulpit looking over your shoulder as you stand on the stage! There are a number of ghost stories that you'll hear as well, notably that of Squire Hawkins, the known practicioner of black magic who is buried in the church graveyard. After being refused at every other burial ground, the horses would not pull him up the hill to the graveyard and his casket had to be carried.
